Sienna 500 Series

The Sienna 500 Series is Spectrum Technologies’ range of high-performance laser wire stripping systems designed specifically for large diameter wire and cable processing applications. Utilising a unique rotary beam laser process, the series provides precise, repeatable insulation removal for wire and cable up to 22 mm (0.88") diameter while maintaining the integrity of the conductor and shielding materials.

 

Developed for demanding aerospace, defence, automotive, power and RF electronics applications, the Sienna 500 Series delivers high-quality non-contact stripping across a wide range of cable types, including heavy gauge single-core wire, multi-core cable and coaxial cable. The system is particularly suited to applications requiring accurate processing of complex or high-value cable assemblies where conventional stripping methods may risk conductor damage.

 

The unique rotary stripping process enables full 360-degree circumferential stripping as well as the processing of irregularly shaped cable profiles. In addition to rotary stripping, the system can perform longitudinal “slit” stripping to assist insulation removal, along with programmable window stripping operations for exposing cable shields and preparing termination areas for connector backshell grounding applications.

 

Available models include:

  • Sienna 510 – rotary beam, 10 Watt CO2 laser system
  • Sienna 530 – rotary beam, 30 Watt CO2 laser system

 

Spectrum laser wire stripping systems are designed to support compliance with key aerospace and industry standards, including SAE AIR6894A and ASD-EN2812.
