Level 1

Operator & Basic Maintenance Training

Included with every system installation

Level 1 provides all users with the essential skills needed to operate the equipment safely and efficiently.

 

Key details:  

  • Duration: 1-2 days (system dependant)
  • Delivered onsite or at a Spectrum facility
  • Limited to four participants per course for hands-on practice 
  • No previous laser experience required

 

Course content includes:  

  • System operation and user interface  
  • Safe handling and basic laser awareness  
  • Routine care and daily maintenance  
  • Basic troubleshooting and fault recognition

 

This training ensures your team can start production quickly and maintain basic uptime from day one. 

Level 2

In-Depth Maintenance Training (Machine)

Available on all systems

Level 2 gives technicians the knowledge required to perform in-depth machine maintenance, replace consumables and modules, identify root causes of faults and manage system alignment checks.

 

Key details:  

  • Duration: 2-3 days (system dependant)
  • Delivered onsite or at a Spectrum facility
  • Limited to four participants per course for hands-on practice 
  • Intermediate mechanical/electrical/electronic knowledge recommended
  • No previous laser experience required

For most customers, Level 2 provides self-sufficient for day-to-day maintenance and significantly reduces downtime.

Level 2

In-Depth Maintenance Training (Laser)

Available only on select systems

Level 2 gives technicians the knowledge required to perform in-depth machine maintenance, replace consumables and modules, identify root causes of faults and manage system alignment checks.

  • Delivered at a Spectrum facility
  • Limited to two participants per course for hands-on practice

Level 3 training provides knowledge of how to troubleshoot in-depth laser issues and change out key optical components used within the CAPRIS® wire marking system family. Available for 4th and 5th generation systems, depending on remaining support and parts availability.

  • Requires Level 2 In-Depth Maintenance Training (Laser) certification
  • Duration: 5 days
  • Delivered at a Spectrum facility
  • Limited to two participants per course for hands-on practice
  • Intermediate mechanical/electrical/electronic knowledge recommended

Refresher courses are available for all programs and recommended every two years.
