Wire Auto Select & Load (ASL)

The Wire Auto Select & Load (ASL) system is an automated wire selection and loading solution designed for integration with the Nova 800i Series laser wire processing systems. Developed for high-throughput production environments, the system automatically selects, loads and unloads wires between the dereeler and wire processing system, significantly reducing wire changeover and setup times while maximising production efficiency.

Fully controlled through the Nova system software, the ASL system enables rapid and repeatable automated wire handling with minimal operator intervention. Automated wire changeover reduces setup times to just a few seconds, improving machine utilisation and supporting efficient high-mix manufacturing operations.

The ASL system supports multiple production modes to suit different manufacturing workflows. Jobs can be processed sequentially from customer job data files to produce automatically sorted wire bundles for individual connector groups, reducing or eliminating manual post-processing and supporting lean manufacturing methodologies. Alternatively, jobs can be grouped and processed by wire type to minimise wire changes and optimise production efficiency for conventional manufacturing workflows.
