At Spectrum Technologies, sustainability performance is supported by regular monitoring, measurement and reporting. Environmental data is reviewed throughout the year to help identify opportunities for improvement, support decision-making and measure progress against our sustainability objectives.
Environmental performance has been tracked since 2019, providing a baseline against which progress can be measured and future targets established.
Our reporting focuses on key environmental indicators including:
- Energy consumption
- Carbon emissions
- Business travel
- Employee commuting
- Freight and transportation activities
- Waste management and resource efficiency
Regular monitoring allows us to identify trends, measure performance and support continual improvement across our operations.
Carbon Management
Spectrum Technologies has operated as a carbon-neutral organisation since 2021 and is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2035.
To support these objectives, environmental performance data is reviewed regularly by senior management and used to guide sustainability initiatives and future improvement programmes.
Current objectives include:
- Maintaining carbon-neutral operations
- Reducing electricity consumption by 20% compared with our 2019 baseline
- Increasing the use of renewable energy sources
- Improving the measurement and understanding of relevant Scope 3 emissions
- Continuing monthly reviews of our Carbon Reduction Plan
CDP Reporting
Spectrum Technologies is committed to transparency regarding its environmental performance and has previously disclosed climate-related data through CDP.
CDP provides a globally recognised framework for organisations to measure, manage and disclose environmental impacts and climate-related risks.

As sustainability reporting requirements continue to evolve, Spectrum Technologies has registered with the UK SME Climate Hub and will continue to communicate environmental performance, progress and future commitments through recognised reporting frameworks.
